What is Cupcake Camp?
Cupcake Camp is a cupcake fundraising event for charity. Basically, we create an event where cupcakes get donated and you come to eat/take cupcakes for a donation.
What charity are you supporting?
We’re supporting Kids Help Phone. Their mission is to improve the well-being of Canadian children and youth by providing them anonymous and confidential professional counselling, referrals, and information through technologically-based communications media. Last year, they helped Canadian kids in need well over two million times through our phone and online counselling services. More info about them here: www.KidsHelpPhone.ca

Metro Lionel-Groulx. At the exit, turn right, walk until Notre-Dame Street, turn right, walk until the Jean Coutu. It’s right in front.
How much does it cost?
We’re asking for a donation of $10 at the door. It includes 3 cupcakes and coffee.
Can we buy more cupcakes at the event?
We encourage you to get many many cupcakes! We’re asking you for a donation for every cupcake you take. Please take a lot and take them home! The more you take, the more we donate to Kids Help Phone!
How much will the cupcakes cost?
We’re asking for a donation of $2 per cupcake or $5 for 3 or $10 for 7.
Want to donate cupcakes?
We’re asking you to donate minimum 24-48 cupcakes. We’d love it if you donated more. Want to give a lot more? 200+ cupcakes makes you a sponsor. You don’t have to be a professional baker to be a sponsor. The more cupcakes we have, the more we have to share, the more we can donate to Kids Help Phone. Sign up to bake by filling out the form.
Can’t bake but want to donate cupcakes?
You can buy cupcakes and donate them. Don’t know where to get some? We can refer some bakers to you.
Branded cupcakes? Want to donate cupcakes with company branding/colours?
Let us know and we’ll refer some bakers!
What kind of baking contests will there be?
There are four categories: Professional, Amateur, Kids and #FAILCAKE. Read more about the categories here. Keep in mind these contests are for fun and are meant to be in good spirit. Anyone can compete. Everyone is welcome!
What are the categories in which we’re competing?
We’re judging on 3 aspects; TASTE, DESIGN and on the THEME of Montreal (best cupcake representing the city). You don’t have to participate in the theme but it would be fun if you did.
Can I buy or sell cupcakes at the event?
No. We’re asking you to make donations. We’re asking you to donate cupcakes and we’re asking you to donate money if you want to take some home or eat more than the 3 that came with suggested entry donation of $10. Sign up as a baker here.
I’m bringing my cupcakes in a container I want back, can I get my container back?
Nope. Bring a container you can live without. We’ll have way too many containers to track and as much as we want to, we can’t promise to give anything back.
Can I really attend if I don’t bring cupcakes?
Yes! While bringing cupcakes is encouraged, we need 11 people to eat a cupcake for every dozen! We’ll love you if you come. We also need validation. Tweeters confirm your presence here. Facebookers confirm your presence here.
Do we bake or decorate our cupcakes at the event?
No – we need ready to eat cupcakes at the event. However, feel free to organize your own baking get-togethers with friends before CupcakeCamp!
