There are so many people to thank but we have to start somewhere so…

These people did more than their share. They exceeded in generously offering their time and giving all that they had to make this event happen. It couldn’t have happened without them.

• BAKERS! BAKERS! BAKERS! CUPPYCAKES!
  It’s  all about the cupcakes! We had 3500! Every cupcake counted and every cupcake devoured! THANK YOU BAKERS for making this event happen! We’re going through that list and we’re shouting out your names very soon!
• CUPCAKE EATERS!
  You came out en masse! WE <3 YOU! We raised $8000 because of everyone’s participation! Thank you for coming out, waiting in line and enduring the box shortage!
• Volunteers <3
  Major volunteers: Anile, Michelle, Laura. These people are the awesomest of the awesome. Their dedication, generosity, BIG HEARTS and hard working ethics make them the most amazing team members anyone could ask for!
  WE <3 the VOLUNTEERS! So many to thank! We’re making a list!
• Kids Help Phone <3
  First, we think KHP is just an awesome charity. Period.
  THEN they have Gaelle who is more than just an employee for KHP. She’s just amazing. Above and beyond her duties, she gave us her heart and seemlessly joined our team as if she were a volunteer.
• Bitoque <3
  Herman Alves for generously donating his restaurant, for suggesting Kids Help Phone and for being Herman. Always doing everything above and beyond. Not to mention, Bitoque even sponsored the event with cupcakes! Chef Christine made “Elvis” and “Shortstack”!
• Judges and our MC <3
  Judges: Rob Kemp, Lesley Chesterman, Todd van der Heyden, Ricardo Larrivée, Katerine Rollet, Bob le Chef, Herman Alves.
  They’re champs! They consumed so many cupcakes, I feel sick for them. We love them for taking this so seriously while having a great time. We were fortunate to have them! We’ll have a post just for them with pics of them judging the cupcakes!
  MC: Frank Cavallaro is simply awesome! <3!
• Sponsors <3
  Major sponsors we need to thank are MrsMacchi, Pazazz Printing and Cakemail for their generosity!

I know y’all want numbers so here it goes!

Approximately: $8000 raised, 3500 cupcakes, 700 cupcake lovers passed through our doors.

Here are a few things you may or may not know about some of the activities on Sunday.

• $10 gets you 3 cupcakes and organic fair trade certified gourmet coffee from Santropol.
• You can donate and take home more cupcakes?! A donation of $2 gets you 1 cupcake. Donate more and get more for your money! 3 for $5 or 7 for $10!
• We have Luke Spicer, from Cafe Névé serving lattes for a small donation like you’ve never seen. Each cup will have designs drawn into the foam. Not only will it be pretty but it’ll be mighty tasty too!
• We’ll have a small kids corner. Keep in mind it’s not a baby sitting service but if you need a few minutes to choose your cupakes, you can let them play while you choose!
• You didn’t think we’d let your kids drink coffee did you? We have Parmalat milk for the kids!

Cupcake Camp Montreal Asking Everyone to Rise to the Occasion and Support Kids Help Phone

L’événement Camp Cupcake de Montréal invite la population à venir se régaler et appuyer Jeunesse, J’écoute !

We need your help! Cupcake Camp is only 2 weeks away! Help us in any of the following ways:

• BAKE!
  We need bakers. We need as many cupcakes as we can get. The more cupcakes we have, the more donations we can get, the more goes to Kids Help Phone.  Fill out the form. More info here.
• CONTESTS!
  If you’re baking cupcakes add 6 more and join our friendly competition. You can also just join the fun and do the contest without donating. Everyone is welcome and everyone can participate. Remember, we have #FAILCAKE as a category. Fill out the form. More info here.
• SPONSOR!
  Give a little more, we’ll love you more. Ok. We’ll still love you if you just show up BUT we’ll really love you more if you sponsor. What can you do to warrant such love? We’re getting a lot of interest from people who want to bake cupcakes. There’s a lot of behind the scenes organizing to do before we can take official bakers. Thank you for your patience and PLEASE stay with us. We’ll be putting a form online shortly. We need every baker to fill out a short form, so that we can get in touch with you and know how many cupcakes we’ll be sharing.

We need a lot of cupcakes! More cupcakes the merrier! The more the yummier! Please spread the word and please stay tuned!
